Half Dome Beyond the Pine
Inspired by Katsushika Hokusai

Every stroke in the painting chapters is a real recorded brush mark from Arthaus’s native replay.

Notes from the canvas
- **Ground:** grey-green. - **First marks (330–560):** **cream** cloud ovals, a **Prussian-blue** dab at the very top, **dark teal** verticals at the lower right (pines), and warm tan at the lower left (the foreground rock). - **About frame 700:** a blue sky band, cream cloud bars, grey and tan granite masses, and a **dark diagonal pine** from the left. - **About frame 860:** **Half Dome's sheer cut face** at the centre right, blue-grey ridges, a gnarled pine framing the top left, a warm sandstone boulder in the foreground, and a rust-orange streak on the cliff. - **Refinement (985–1385):** the sky deepens to **Prussian blue at the top and fades lighter toward the horizon**, like a print gradation. The cloud bands become crisp horizontal bars, and the pine at the top left turns from a soft mass into crisp, tapering branch and needle strokes (clearest 1240–1340). - **Touches:** a warm gold mark lands on the sunlit far ridge at the right at frame 1546 (x 0.85, y 0.56 from top). The old touch narration (the sky gradation) now plays in the refine deep dive, where the gradation actually happens.

Recorded brush execution demonstrates how this digital canvas was built. It does not establish historically recovered gestures or a physical simulation of paint.
The research evidence does not establish independently validated artist-wide style.
